Light

Photography is one of my oldest hobbies. From the darkroom and endless spools of Tri-X in the 1980s and early 1990s, to my current digital printer, from my ill-fated Kodak Disc Camera to my new Canon mirrorless, I'm still in awe of photography for its power to make me stop and look at the light, to seek beauty, and to do my best to share what I see in the world. I shoot film, in 35mm and 645, as well as digital.

During the first season of my restaurant, Pintxo, I was fortunate to work with a remarkably talented photographer for our social media material. When she got a full-time gig, and after her encouragement, I started turning my lens to food for practical purposes. It's been very fun to learn to use my gear - and to see - in some new ways, to provide material for Pintxo's socials.
